On December 4, 2021, at approximately 10:52 p.m., Lieutenant Timothy Brovakos of the 71st Precinct stopped [redacted]s vehicle (Allegation A: Abuse of Authority, [redacted]). [redacted] asked for the name and shield number of Police Officer Mubbashar Zahid of the 71st Precinct which PO Zahid allegedly failed to provide (Allegations B and C: Abuse of Authority, [redacted]). Lt. Brovakos told [redacted] that he would be arrested if he did not step out of the vehicle (Allegation D: Abuse of Authority, [redacted]).
Once [redacted] exited his vehicle, PO Rodriguez allegedly told another occupant of the vehicle, his brother [redacted] that he would be arrested if he exited the vehicle (Allegation E: Abuse of Authority, [redacted]). PO Zahid and allegedly Police Officer Caraballo of the 71st Precinct frisked [redacted] (Allegation F: Abuse of Authority, [redacted]; Allegation G: Abuse of Authority, [redacted]) and searched his pockets (Allegation H: Abuse of Authority, [redacted]; Allegation I: Abuse of Authority, [redacted]).
