On October 5, 2022, at approximately 3:30am, PO Ikenna Akobundu and PO Luis Franco, from Transit District 20, approached [redacted] who was on a bench inside the Sutphin Boulevard F-train subway station in Queens. [redacted] began recording them with his cellphone. PO Akobundu told [redacted] to get on the next train and leave the station. PO Akobundu said, "Fuck that, you got to get out of here." (Allegation A: Discourtesy, Unfounded) PO Akobundu then hit [redacted] hand, where he was holding his phone (Allegation B: Abuse of Authority, Substantiated) (Allegation C: Force, Substantiated) causing his phone to fall to the ground and break (Allegation D: Abuse of Authority, Unable to Determine).
