Description: On August 18, 2018, the decedent had an encounter with NYPD officers—including Sergeant Joshua Lopez, PO Rachel Mayworm, Sergeant Richard Assing, PO Jason Bratter, and PO Alicia Fox—at or near a subway station in Kings County, New York. The decedent’s mother was informed by police that her son had been chased by police, shot with a stun gun or taser, and that he then came into contact with the electrified third rail of the subway, while being pursued by the police. The contact with the electrified third rail killed the decedent.
