Description: On April 11, 2014 at approximately 8:30am, plaintiffs' school-aged children were lawfully inside a subway station at Ft. Hamilton Parkway and New Utrecht Ave. in Brooklyn, NY. Defendant police officer Guzman approached the children and asked what they were doing. The children said they were going to school. Defendant Guzman ordered the children to leave the station; he then began pushing and shoving one of the children, D.G., and called him "stupid". When the other child, J.E., asked why the defendant was pushing D.G., defendant Guzman violently pushed J.E. to the ground. J.E. was frightened so he began calling 911.
