Description: On or about March 15, 2018, plaintiff was shopping when the store called NYPD. NYPD officers, including Nelson Proano and Jose Hernandez, stopped and handcuffed plaintiff. Proano and Hernandez failed to conduct an investigation before arresting plaintiff. Plaintiff was transported to Manhattan Central Booking, where officers Proano, Hernandez, Boris Mirkin, Awais Mazhar, and Juan Perez lined plaintiff up against a wall with all male detainees. Plaintiff, who was pregnant, requested medical attention but was denied assistance. Plaintiff was then yanked out of her chair and dragged by her handcuffs.
