Description: On June 3,2017, plaintiff lawfully received treatment at a methadone clinic and was prescribed two doses to take at home by the clinic. Plaintiff then entered a friend's car outside the clinic, which was immediately surrounded by officers. Plaintiff advised them that she had the liquid methadone and showed her id card which showed she was a patient of the clinic. The officers made no effort to verify is the plaintiff was legally allowed to have the methadone.

Description: On September 5, 2013, plaintiffs, Yetta Doggett and Sheila High, were at a privately owned bar/social club, located at 72 Rogers Avenue, Brooklyn. The defendant officers, forcibly entered the premises, then seized, handcuffed, and searched plaintiffs. They were not in possession of any narcotics, drug paraphernalia, or weapons, nor were they observed doing anything to suggest that they were in possession of such items. Despite this, they were detained, transported to a local NYPD police station, and later to Central Booking, where they were imprisoned for several hours.
