Complaint
Description: On September 18, 2020, P.O. Cecilio Ramos, Sgt. Christophe Catalano, and unnamed officers stopped, frisked, searched, arrested, and imprisoned plaintiff without probable cause or legal justification. That day, plaintiff had joined a peaceful protect against ICE practices. Upon exiting Washington Square Park, plaintiff heard police start announcing on a loudspeaker that anyone in the streets would be arrested, so plaintiff and her friends immediately tried to disperse, but they were quickly kettled in by the aforementioned officers. Those officers shoved plaintiff several times, threw her to the ground, and arrested her. The officers made it impossible for most of the protestors to disperse by trapping them....
