Description: On October 14, 2017, the plaintiff was unlawfully stopped, seized, searched, assaulted and arrested by the defendant PO including POs Stanley Baez, Melvin Moultrie and Dinercy Pinales without any reasonable suspicion of unlawful behaviour. The defendants falsely accused the plaintiff of crimes and illegally searched the plaintiff. The plaintiff was thrown down to the ground and then tased him causing the plaintiff serious physical harm. The plaintiff was then taken to the 47th Precinct where the plaintiff was fingerprinted, photographed, strip-searched and detained. The charges were dismissed on January 31, 2018.

Description: On April 13, 2016, Plaintiff was lawfully present inside of his friend's apartment when PO Robert Hoey, Jeremiah Williams, Eric Florio, Stanley Baez and John Does unlawfully entered the apartment. PO searched the apartment and the individuals inside, without probable cause or any legal justification. Despite not finding any illegal drugs, weapons or contraband, PO handcuffed and wrongfully detained Plaintiff for approximately 3 days. PO provided the DA with false and misleading information regarding their basis for arresting and prosecuting Plaintiff. On August 25, 2017, all charges against Plaintiff were dismissed.

Description: On or about October 5, 2016, plaintiffs Ramon Urena and Jonathan Urena-Martinez were falsely accused, without probable cause of trespassing by NYPD Sergeants Genao and Joyce and NYPD officers Barreto, Baez and Vasquez. Upon favorable dismissal of all charges in Bronx Criminal Court, defendants deliberately and falselu filed a criminal complaint in Queens County Criminal Court. This resulted in significant humiliation and unnecessary time which hindered their occupations and caused them to incur expenses for the defense of charges the defendants knew to be false and baseless.
