Description: On August 16, 2012, Plaintiff was on the street when Defendants NYPD PO John Mazzella and PO Charles Martello detained, attacked and beat Plaintiff, and further assaulted Plaintiff. The Defendant Officers then intentionally held and restrained Plaintiff without his consent. Plaintiff was later arrested and charged with various crimes even though the officers knew or should have known that Plaintiff was wholly innocent of any crime then and there alleged against him. Those charges were subsequently dismissed or otherwise disposed of.
