Plaintiffs were within a residential building when the defendants entered the home with their weapons drawn demanding everybody to move or get on the ground. Defendants broke down doors and otherwise damaged various fixtures and pieces of property. Defendants arrested plaintiffs, handcuffing them, subjecting them to unlawful pat-down searches and tightly restrained them with metal handcuffs causing pain and discomfort. Description: On February 25, 2022 at approximately 6:00 a.m., defendant-officers, including defendant Nicholas Schiraldi (Shield No. 3272), forcibly entered plaintiffs' residence with weapons present. Upon entering, defendants forced plaintiffs onto the floor, forcibly sequestered plaintiffs, and conducted a search resulting in significant property damage within the residence. Defendants claimed they were executing a lawful search warrant. Defendants failed to produce such a warrant. Plaintiff Kyle Edwards was subsequently wrongfully and unlawfully arrested. Plaintiff-Kyle Edwards was detained for 24 hours. All charges against plaintiff-Kyle Edwards were dismissed.
