Description: On or about May 11, 2016, at approximately 10:30am, Truancy Officer Tetsola Santiago approached Keyoka Robinson, who is transgender, and made a disparaging remark about his gender. Officer Santiago attacked Mr. Robinson, causing him to fall to the ground. Additional officers arrived and dragged Mr. Robinson into a police van. At the precinct, Mr. Robinson asked for medical attention because the assault had aggravated a preexisting neck injury. He was denied medical assistance for some time, and he was falsely charged.
