Description: On January 8, 2016, while plaintiff was staying overnight at a hotel, plaintiff went to the 17th precinct station house to inquire about the possibility of using one of the precinct's parking spots. Plaintiff is a law enforcement officer in Massachusetts, and mentioned this upon entering the precinct. Defendant Slavin contested the veracity of plaintiff's law enforcement status, and directed another officer to tightly handcuff and arrest plaintiff for impersonating a law enforcement officer. After being held for over two hours, once defendant Slavin confirmed plaintiff's identity, he was released. Plaintiff was never formally charged.
