Description: On or about May 24, 2020 at 11:00 PM, the plaintiff was falsely arrested without probable cause by defendant officer Tyler Angelo. Defendant Sergeant Steven C. Siermala approved the arrest. The plaintiff was involved in a car accident while a passenger in a vehicle operated by his friend, Tyree Johnson. The four occupants of the vehicle that collided with the vehicle in which the plaintiff rode became irate and attempted to attack the plaintiff and Mr. Johnson. The plaintiff and Mr. Johnson ran from the accident scene to escape harm. At this point, defendant officer Angelo immediately accosted the plaintiff without questions and placed him in handcuffs. Complaint
Description: On September 2019, plaintiff was attending a picnic at Highland Park and felt faint as a result of his diabetes. Defendant police officers punched plaintiff in the face, falsely arrested him, forcibly handcuffed him, kicked him, struck him in the ribs with a baton, etc. They dragged plaintiff through the park until an EMS worker made them stop. Once taken to hospital, plaintiff was held in police custody for 12 hours without being charged. Plaintiff was subsequently taken to the precinct and central booking where he was falsely charged with offenses. Plaintiff was falsely prosecuted and deprived of medical attention for his diabetes for over four days.
