Description: On October 27, 2017, Mr. Laquan Copes was riding his bike in the Bronx. At least 15 members of the NYPD grabbed him off his bike and began to question and manhandle him. They assaulted Mr. Copes using their fists, legs, batons, radio, and asp. Several supervisors on the scene failed to intervene, took part in the beating, and denied Mr. Copes medical care. The officers arrested Mr. Copes and charged him with various crimes.
