Description: On July 4, 2018, around 8:00 PM at 141st Street and 5th Avenue, Manhattan, Plaintiff Eric Madeam was outside talking with his friends when a police officer approached him. Plaintiff, and his two friends, was arrested for unlawfully dealing with fireworks. Plaintiff denies the charges and, at arraignment, he received an ACD. Plaintiff was incarcerated for 19 hours prior to release, causing him to miss one day in work ($1,000 in lost wages).
