Description: On June 4, 2020 Plaintiff Adam Azbel-Bedell was attending a Black Lives Matter protest in Brooklyn. When Plaintiff was riding down the street on his bicycle to leave the protest just after 9pm, he was tackled by PO John Doe 1 and knocked off his bicycle. Plaintiff's bike was never returned to him. Extremely tight handcuffs were placed on Plaintiff and he was loaded onto a police van. PO Aaron Husbands also ignored Plaintiffs requests to loosen the cuffs, which were kept on for over an hour. Other arrestees told the police that Plaintiffs hands were swelling and turning purple. Officer Doe 2 used a wire cutter to cut the handcuffs off of him.
