Description: On July 15, 2019 PO Leo Bonacasa, Aleksandar Todoroski, and Sgt Ryan Madhoo executed a warrant to search Plaintiff Ramsey Smith's apt on the basis of a fire that they had inculpatory evidence showing his involvement in a fire that had occurred 24 hours earlier on the roof of the building. The NYPD converted approximately $18k in cash of the $30k they confiscated, and arrested Plaintiff for possession of marijuana (dismissed March 2020).

Description: On May 25, 2020, the plaintiff was approached and assaulted and battered by unidentified NYPD officers. The assault and battery included being grabbed and forcefully placed in handcuffs. While in handcuffs, the plaintiff was dragged and thrown to the ground on top of burning hot coals from a barbecue. His shirt was then pulled over his head, and he was pulled and thrown into a police vehicle by the defendants. The plaintiff was arrested and transported to a precinct.
