Description: On May 27, 2020, when Plaintiff was sitting with his ex-wife in her lawfully parked vehicle, POs Mauro, Degree, and Perlmutter forcibly pulled Plaintiff from the car, threw him on the ground, handcuffed him, and falsely arrested him without probable cause or legal justification. The POs alleged that they recovered a firearm from under a vehicle several cars away from the one Plaintiff was sitting in, though they possessed no evidence linking Plaintiff to that firearm. The POs transported him to the precinct and seized from him almost $3,000, which he had intended to give his ex-wife for their children. The POs have still not yet returned this money to Plaintiff.

Description: On August 18, 2019, plaintiff was lawfully in the vicinity of Nelson Avenue and West 170th Street, Bronx, when defendant police officers, without any probable cause or legal justification, approached plaintiff and summarily stopped, searched, grabbed, assaulted, battered, and detained him with excessive force. Plaintiff was not engaging in any illegal activity. Plaintiff was then handcuffed and arrested. While in custody, plaintiff was strip-searched, and during arraignment he was falsely prosecuted with committing a crime. All charges against plaintiff were eventually terminated in his favor. As a result of defendants' actions, plaintiff sustained severe physical and emotional injuries.
