Description: On January 22, 2012, Plaintiff was lying down on the subway on his way from work, when he was approached by NYPD Police Officers Johnson Jacques, and others. Plaintiff did not understand what they were saying as he did not speak English. The officers took him off the train and arrested him. Despite not resisting, they hit and kick him until he fell unconscious.

Description: On October 2, 2012, plaintiff was riding the subway, commuting to her school in Queens, NY, where she worked as a teacher. When the train pulled into Grand Central, defendants approached plaintiff and told her to exit the train with them. Plaintiff explained she was on her way to work, and asked why she needed to get off of the train. Defendants grabbed plaintiff by her right arm and screamed "Get off of the train." Plaintiff complied and exited the train. Plaintiff was arrested and handcuffed.
