Description: On December 8, 2021, Plaintiffs were working when Plaintiff Santiago went to purchase a beverage and Officer Brian Doherty and others stopped Plaintiff Santiago. Defendant Officers falsely accused Plaintiff Santiago of a crime, twisted his arms and applied tight handcuffs that caused further pain. Plaintiffs explained that they were working and had committed no criminal offense, but were ignored. The Officers searched Plaintiff Santiago and his workplace and finally left after four hours.

Plaintiffs were handcuffed and arrested. While in custody, plaintiffs were strip-searched. During arraignment, plaintiffs were falsely prosecuted with committing a crime, but all charges were eventually terminated in plaintiffs' favor. As a result of defendants' actions, plaintiffs sustained severe physical and emotional injuries.
