Complaint
Description: On June 1, 2020, Plaintiff was arrested without probable cause while participating in a peaceful protest in Manhattan. Plaintiff was seized by Defendant Officers with excessive force and handcuffed tightly with zip ties causing Plaintiff injury, pain, and discomfort. Officer Travis Gembecki was one of the falsely arresting officers. Defendant Gembecki provided false information to the prosecutor to charge plaintiff. Defendant Gembecki arrested and applied excessive force to Plaintiff. All charges against the Plaintiff were later dismissed. As a result of Defendant's misconduct Plaintiff suffered violations of her rights, physical pain and suffering, physical injury, and emotional distress.
