Description: On May 15, 2018 Plaintiff was driving his car in Manhattan with a passenger in the front seat. Defendants Ramirez and Melhado pulled Plaintiff over without probably cause. Plaintiff was not disobeying any laws or orders. Plaintiff was ordered to exit the car which he did. The defendants searched the car without probable cause to do so. They found a counterfeit bill in the purse of the front seat passenger. Plaintiff was arrested for forgery and placed in handcuffs which were too tight. Ultimately the DA declined to prosecute the charges and they were dismissed.

Description: On March 8, 2018, Plaintiff Robert McCarter was arrested while working his job as a parking assistant for a production company, for driving a car without a valid NY State driver's license. However, plaintiff was in possession of a valid restricted use license which authorized him to drive while working. Despite this, plaintiff was arrested and charged where he remained in central booking for 30 hours. All charges were dismissed a couple months later. Description: On December 5, 2012, defendants forcibly entered into plaintiff's apartment. Defendants tackled and forced plaintiff to the ground and began to punch and kick him, causing bruising to plaintiff head and body. Defendants searched the apartment, and found medication belonging to his wife. Defendants confronted plaintiff with the medication and asked him why he was in possession of a controlled substance. Despite plaintiff pointing out that it belonged to his wife, defendants arrested plaintiff. Defendants subsequently lied to the DA's office to justify his arrest.
