Description: On or about August 26, 2021, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Plaintiff Steve Boursiquot was a lawful passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over by NYPD officers near Ocean Avenue and Farragut Road in Brooklyn, New York. After the stop, the front-seat passenger exited the vehicle and fled on foot, allegedly discarding a firearm before being apprehended. Despite having no involvement with the firearm, Plaintiff was ordered to exit the vehicle, lie face down, and was then handcuffed and arrested without probable cause. The officers falsely charged Plaintiff with possession of the discarded firearm and linked him to an unrelated robbery that had occurred nearby.
