Description: On August 2, 2016, Ronald Thompson ("Plaintiff") was unlawfully arrested by Police Officers Elivis Duran, Miguel Frias, John or Jane Doe 1-10 ("Defendants") while lawfully walking near a bus stop. The Defendants approached the Plaintiff without probable cause and illegally stopped, questioned, searched and seized the Plaintiff.
The Plaintiff was subjected to excessive force during the arrest when Officers Duran and Frias grabbed, choked and pulled the head and neck of the Plaintiff. All of the plaintiffs were taken to the PSA7 precinct, where they were imprisoned. At the PSA7 precinct, plaintiffs were unlawfully strip searched. Defendant officers brought false incriminating charges of crimes of Resisting Arrest, Possession of a Gambling Device, Criminal Trespass and Loitering against the plaintiffs. The charges brought against the plaintiffs were eventually all dismissed.
