Description: On August 17, 2016, plaintiff was arrested in her apartment by NYPD officers, including P.O. Tau Samuel, P.O. Peter Guiheen, P.O. Kirth Buckley, and P.O. Rudolph Sommer, and falsely accused of being emotionally disturbed. During the arrest, the officers wrenched plaintiffs arms behind her back and handcuffed her, injuring her shoulder. Plaintiff was admitted against her will at Metropolitan Hospital Center despite her requests to be released.

Description: On June 16, 2013, the plaintiff was working as a home health aide for an elderly man at his apartment when she was subjected to unlawful seizure and excessive force by defendant police officers. The plaintiff was under strict instructions from her employer, who was hired by the man's family and held power of attorney over him, to never leave the man alone or unattended. Before the incident, the man’s wife, who did not hold power of attorney, asked the plaintiff to leave the room while the man dressed. The plaintiff consulted with her employer, who confirmed that she was not permitted to leave the man under any circumstances. When the plaintiff refused the wife’s request, the wife called the building doorman to...
