Description: On August 4, 2015 at approximately 9:30 a.m. Plaintiff was walking with his friend when he ran into a second friend and stopped to chat. At that time Sergeant Eric Florio and POs Jeremiah S. Williams and John Does 1-10 pulled up in their vehicle, exited, and search Plaintiff and his friends without probable cause. The search did not reveal any drugs, weapons, or contraband. POs incorrectly believed they recognized him as a different individual and wanted to arrest and interrogate him regarding neighborhood crimes. POs slowly walked around the area, picked up what appeared to be a discarded cigarette butt, walked to Plaintiff, and stated "I am putting this on you." Description: On April 13, 2016, Plaintiff was lawfully present inside of his friend's apartment when PO Robert Hoey, Jeremiah Williams, Eric Florio, Stanley Baez and John Does unlawfully entered the apartment. PO searched the apartment and the individuals inside, without probable cause or any legal justification. Despite not finding any illegal drugs, weapons or contraband, PO handcuffed and wrongfully detained Plaintiff for approximately 3 days. PO provided the DA with false and misleading information regarding their basis for arresting and prosecuting Plaintiff. On August 25, 2017, all charges against Plaintiff were dismissed.

Description: On March 9, 2017, plaintiff was lawfully present in the street, when defendant POs, without reasonable suspicion or probable cause, stopped, questioned, frisked and arrested him. At no point did plaintiff commit a crime or did defendant POs have an objective reason to believe that plaintiff committed a crime. Plaintiff was then transported to the precinct where he was subjected to a strip search. At Central Booking, defendant POs provided the District Attorney's Office with false, misleading and/or incomplete information that plaintiff possessed a controlled substance. The District Attorney, however, declined to prosecute plaintiff and plaintiff was released from custody.
