Complaint
Description: On September 30 2020 both Plaintiffs were lawfully in the area when
Detective Thomas Clementi, Detective Timi Tomacruz, Sergeant Piero Lasaponara and Officers John Does approached them unlawfully. Both Plaintiffs exited their vehicle to speak to a friend when they were unlawfully stopped, questioned, frisked, searched, handcuffed, and falsely arrested without probable cause. The officers transported both Plaintiffs to the 63rd precinct and initiated a malicious prosecution by providing incomplete evidence to purportedly justify the arrests. Both were transported to Central Booking on October 1 2020 and thereafter arraigned on October 1 2020. All charges were dismissed on October 19 2021.
