Description: On March 22, 2011, Det. Anthony Schaffer, Sgt. John Urena, and an undercover officer conducted an operation wherein they planted an officer to ask plaintiff for drugs. When plaintiff asked follow up questions, an unmarked van pulled up with Schaffer and Urena in it, who arrested plaintiff for criminal possession in the third degree, seventh degree, and resisting arrest. Prior to the arrest, plaintiff was on bail for other pending cases. There were no drugs found on plaintiff, but the prosecutor, Byrim Namani, did not reveal this for over a year and attempted to have plaintiff plead guilty in the meantime. The charges were terminated on March 5, 2012.
