She was stopped unlawfully, harassed, arrested , and detained as part of a "sweep" of transgender women in the area. She was charged with loitering for the purpose of prostitution under Section 240.37.

Description: On March 13, 2015, outside Plaintiff's NYCHA building, POs asked Plaintiff if he knew a person by he name of A.S. Plaintiff told them the person lived in the same apartment as he did. The POs told Plaintiff to take them to that apartment. A PO grabbed Plaintiff by the arm and forced him to walk to the apartment. After Plaintiff knocked and another occupant was opening the door, they forcibly pushed Plaintiff into the apartment. They did not have a warrant and none of the occupants consented to their entry. The POs began searching the apartment. One of the POs emerged with A.S., claiming to have found marijuana and a box of credit cards.

Description: On April 22, 2014, plaintiff Robert Lebron encountered a military veteran in a local restaurant. He attempted to give the man some change, but was told by defendant Officer Nicosia that he would arrest plaintiff Lebron if he gave the man any money. Plaintiff Lebron left the restaurant, but as he was driving back to work, he encountered Officer Nicosia staring at him in his police car. Plaintiff Lebron exited his vehicle, at which time Officer Nicosia screamed at him to get back into his car.
