Description: On February 3, 2019, Plaintiff was present in her home on 2527 Valentine Avenue, Bronx, NY, when she emerged outside to find Officers John Does 1-3 punching and hitting her son in the backseat of a police car. Plaintiff's son screamed for help, and when Plaintiff called out, one officer charged her and punched her in the head. Plaintiff then raised her hands above her head in submission. The officers yelled "Stop resisting", and one officer left the vehicle, slammed Plaintiff to the ground and handcuffed her. The initial officer then pulled out his gun and pointed it at Plaintiff. Description: On September 18, 2017, Plaintiff Clestroy Garwood was approached for no reason by Officers Steven Torres and two others with no probable cause or legal justification and stopped, searched, grabbed, assaulted, battered and detained Garwood in an aggressive manner. Garwood was placed in custody and subjected to a strip search and was falsely charged with committing a crime. He was incarcerated for 24 hours. The charges were eventually terminated.
