Description: On November 13, 2020, while lawfully near 656 Miller Avenue in Kings, NY, the plaintiff was unlawfully arrested by the defendants in an excessive manner without legal justification. The plaintiff had arrived at the location to assist his friend, who had been shot and needed medical help. After calling 911 and ensuring his friend's transport to the hospital, the defendants arrived and arrested the plaintiff, restraining him with metal handcuffs and conducting an unlawful pat-down search, which yielded nothing. Description: On March 7, 2021, Plaintiffs (Stacy, Shadae, Oshane, and Diamond) were lawfully driving when they were pulled over by an unmarked police car. The police officers got out and dragged Plaintiffs out of their car. The officers repeatedly punched and beat Plaintiffs. Oshane was placed in a chokehold when the officers removed him from his vehicle. Shadae was shoved to the ground and was kneed on her back. Officers tased Shadae twice. Plaintiffs were then detained and taken into custody, where Plaintiffs were denied medical attention. All charges against Plaintiffs were dismissed.
