Description: On April 2, 2014, around 2:35am, Mr. John Scott, Mr. Michael Mejia, Ms. Susan Mejia, and Ms. Gennissis Fernandez were inside an apartment in Astoria. Mr. Scott did not live there, but was invited there by his fiancee Rosanna Fernandez. Ms. Gennissis Fernandez was a minor at the time and had come home late, so the other plaintiffs were lecturing her. Then, police arrived at the door. Mr. Mejia tried calmly explaining to the officers that everything was okay, but the officers argued and violently burst into the apartment.
