Complaint
Description: On May 28, 2017, Plaintiff Douglas was lawfully in the vicinity of East 169th Street and Grant Avenue in the Bronx, New York. Defendants NYPD Officers Corey Graves, John Doe, and John Roe stopped, searched (including a strip search), grabbed, assaulted, battered, and detained Plaintiff absent an arrest warrant, probable cause, reasonable cause or any legal justification. Thereafter, Plaintiff Douglass remained incarcerated for over 24 hours and was required to make numerous court appearances over an extended period of time until all charges against him were terminated favorably. Plaintiff Douglas sustained physical and emotional pain and injuries as a result of this incident.
