Description: On March 31, 2021, while the plaintiff was lawfully driving a rental car with the proper paperwork to prove it, he was suddenly stopped by NYPD officers. The defendant officers broke the passenger side window where the plaintiff was seated, attempted to pull his arm through the broken glass, discharged a taser into him, pulled him out of the car, handcuffed him, and searched his person. The taser prongs penetrated the plaintiff's jacket and shirt, lodged into his skin, and required the use of a scalpel for removal. Although the plaintiff was arrested for driving a stolen car, this allegation was not true.

Description: On July 23, 2018, Plaintiff Mills reported to probation officer for his scheduled visit, at which time he was arrested by, or at the direction of, Defendants Daniel Young, Stephan Noel, and Michael Cioffi. While Plaintiff was in Defendants' custody, one or more of the Defendants filled out paperwork falsely claiming that Plaintiff was engaged in criminal activity on July 15, 2018. The complaint was then forwarded to the Kings County District Attorney's office, which then charged Plaintiff with various violations of New York's VTL, as well as reckless endangerment and obstructing governmental administration.
