Complaint
Description: On September 30, 2023, Plaintiff was in the driver’s seat of a motor vehicle stopped at the intersection of Steinway St and 28th Ave, in Queens, NY. Members of the NYPD approached the vehicle and ordered Plaintiff to exit the vehicle. Plaintiff complied and exited the vehicle. Officers searched Plaintiff’s vehicle without a warrant or consent. Officers arrested, transported to a police precinct, and detained plaintiff. Defendant initiated a prosecution against Plaintiff by issuing a Criminal Court Appearance Ticket. Plaintiff appeared in court to defend against the charge. On October 18, 2023, the criminal charge was dismissed, and proceeding terminated favorably to Plaintiff.
