Description: On April 3, 2019, Tyrell Dowe (Plaintiff) was lawfully present in the vicinity of 159th Street and Harlem River Drive when the defendants unlawfully stopped, questioned, frisked, searched, falsely arrested and imprisoned plaintiff without reasonable suspicion, probable cause, or legal justification. Defendants then unlawfully handcuffed plaintiff and transported him against his will to the PSA 6 precinct where he was unlawfully searched, fingerprinted, photographed, and detained in a holding fell for many hours. Description: On or about August 24, 2012, Plaintiffs were standing outside of a residence at with one of their friends who had been shot. Defendant officer Sanchez and additional unknown Defendant officers stopped, handcuffed, and arrested Plaintiffs. Plaintiffs were not engaging in unlawful behavior or preventing the officers from assisting their wounded friend. The Plaintiffs were arrested, taken to the precinct, subjected to a strip search, brought to Central Booking, and charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration, which charges were eventually dismissed. Both Plaintiffs suffered physical and emotional damages as a result of the incident.
