Description: On January 24, 2017, ten NYPD officers entered plaintiffs' apartment at 285 Throop Avenue in Brooklyn with guns drawn. The unidentified officers thew plaintiff Luis Jimmy Jaime on his head, face down, handcuffed him, and picked him up by both arms. The officers ignored plaintiffs' request to loosen his handcuffs, and his wrists swelled and bruised. Description: On May 29, 2012, Plaintiffs were sitting in cars when Defendant officers Vanpelt and Sadowy approached them, ordered Plaintiffs out of their vehicles, and searched said vehicles. Defendant officers then arrested Plaintiffs for possession of marijuana, even though Plaintiffs did not possess marijuana nor had they committed any other offense. Plaintiffs were transported to a precinct and strip-searched, then transported to central booking. Plaintiff Smith was released without charges. All charges were subsequently dismissed against Plaintiffs Weber and Reed.
