Description: On September 1, 2013, plaintiff Nava Inocente was attending a feast and celebration for Saint Rose of Lima at Club Palenque at 1880 Carter Avenue in the Bronx when defendant NYPD officers responding to a 911 call about public intoxication arrived at the premises between 1:48 am and 2:14 am. The officers ordered plaintiff to leave the premises, and plaintiff motioned to his two children to come with him to leave when defendant NYPD officer Jacob Newman and unidentified NYPD officers began striking and hitting plaintiff in the body, causing him severe injuries including cuts and lacerations.
