Description: On November 16, 2011, plaintiffs were lawfully present and asleep inside their apartment on Montauk Avenue, Brooklyn, NY. Plaintiff Oslyn Pompey is the mother and guardian of R.P., who was a 5 year-old female. Pompey and Naomi Sparman are sisters. Defendants kicked in the front door of the premises, stormed into the premises, without a warrant, and seized the plaintiffs at gunpoint. The adult plaintiffs were handcuffed and searched by the defendants, who then searched the premises. Description: Defendant officers entered the residence of the Plaintiff's grandmother during a birthday party. The residence had been under police surveillance. All of the adults, including the plaintiff were arrested. Plaintiff was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, endangering the welfare of a child, and unlawfully dealing in the first degree. When at Rikers, plaintiff was strip searched. The charges brought against him were later dismissed.

Description: Plaintiffs were arrested at a street corner by defendant officers. Said officers then recovered a firearm from a nearby motor vehicle's rear wheel well. Plaintiffs were said by the officers to have confessed to owning the weapon. Plaintiffs were transported to 75th Precinct. Each plaintiff was strip searched. Both were charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree. Both plaintiffs were ultimately acquitted of all charges.
