Description: On October 15, 2015, plaintiff was wrongfully stopped and asked for identification by defendant police officers who falsely stated that they smelled marijuana on his person. Plaintiff was then unlawfully searched, handcuffed and arrested. Upon being taken to the precinct, plaintiff was strip-searched and transported to central booking. On January 11, 2016, all charges against plaintiff were dismissed.

Description: On July 21, 2014 Plaintiff, a retired 68-year-old, was grocery shopping at the same location she has been grocery shopping for the past ten years. Plaintiff was using her own bag to store items. Before checking out and before passing any registers, Plaintiff was stopped by POs Sharon Feaggins and John Does 1-4, searched, and falsely arrested for shoplifting. Plaintiff was incarcerated for approximately 26 hours and had $500 in cash stolen from her by officers. While in custody Plaintiff was denied access to her medications and on her release her blood sugar was elevated due to her missing doses, requiring days to recover.
