Description: On October 04, 2023, around 11:00 p.m. near 730 Kelly Street, Bronx, New York, plaintiff S'Kwan Acosta was searched, seized, and arrested without legal justification. Police officers subjected Plaintiff to physical harm including battery to the head, neck, back, body, and limbs. Plaintiff was incarcerated for over 24 hours and was required to make numerous court appearances over an extended period of time. Plaintiff needed to seek medical assistance, incur expenses, and was unable to perform his work duties as a result of the police activities. All charges were eventually terminated in Plaintiff's favor. Plaintiff was arrested as a result of arrest quotas and racial profiling.

Description: On November 9, 2016, while lawfully inside his apartment, defendant NYPD officers unlawfully entered and searched plaintiff's residence without probable cause or any lawful justification. At no time was any contraband recovered from plaintiff or from any location within either his custody or control. Description: Plaintiff was approached by defendant officers after he was a victim of an attack. During said attack, the plaintiff was stabbed in the leg. When the defendant officers arrived, a knife was still protruding from plaintiff's leg. Defendant Officers pepper sprayed, tightly handcuffed, and arrested plaintiff. He was thereafter hospitalized and ultimately brought to the 48th precinct. When he was brought to Central Booking, he was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon. After over a year in custody, the plaintiff was acquitted of all charges.
