Description: On or about November 20, 2014, Plaintiff (an African American woman) was arrested by Police Detective Andre Parker for an alleged incident that occurred on or about October 9, 2014. The parents of the complaining witness falsely claimed that Plaintiff had attacked their daughter with a knife on the campus of LIU. Indeed, the facts had demonstrated that Plaintiff was the victim of a group assault by the complaining witness and her friends, not the other way around. According to Police Detective Parker, the only reason he made the arrest was because he was worried that the complaining witness’ parents would sue him.
