Description: On November 13, 2020, at around 5:30 PM, Plaintiff was on his way to get something to eat with his friends when he was stopped, handcuffed, and arrested by Officer James Ferrufino and other officers. Plaintiff had not engaged in any criminal or unlawful conduct. He was transported to the 44 precinct where he was placed and held in a cell with other male prisoners for several hours before being released and given a desk appearance ticket. The Bronx County District Attorney declined to prosecute the arrest of Plaintiff in January 2021.

Description: On August 1, 2020, plaintiff was lawfully in the vicinity of College Avenue and East 170th Street, Bronx, when defendant police officers, without any probable cause or legal justification, approached plaintiff for no reason other than his race and summarily stopped, searched, grabbed, assaulted, battered, and detained him in an excessive manner. Plaintiff was handcuffed and arrested. While in custody, plaintiff was strip-searched, and during arraignment he was falsely prosecuted with committing a crime. All charges made against plaintiff were eventually terminated in his favor. As a result of defendants' actions, plaintiff sustained severe physical injuries and emotional trauma.
