She spent nine hours in the 43rd precinct and was then transferred to Rikers. After receiving medical examinations there, Plaintiff was told that she was pregnant and if she did not take a Methadone treatment she would lose her fetus. She was released from custody on February 26, 2015. Plaintiff's infant was born 7 weeks prematurely and with a Methadone addiction due to the forced Methadone treatment.
