Description: On September 1, 2015 at around 8PM, Plaintiff Rodney Williams was sitting on his motorcycle at a red light on the Upper East Side when the motorcycle stalled. Plaintiff adjusted his face shield to wipe sweat from his face while attempting to restart his motorbike and in that moment was stopped and seized by Defendant Officers Vincent Pinto, Christopher Ayau, Brian Magoolaghan, Officers Gomez, Medina, and Sanchez, and unnamed officers, who were stopped next to Plaintiff at the light. The officers claimed Plaintiff was not wearing his face shield correctly. Description: On or about December 31, 2011, Plaintiff was handcuffed and unlawfully arrested by Defendant NYPD officers including PO Vincent Pinto and PO Mark Nicoletti. In the course of the unlawful arrest, the officers utilized excessive, unnecessary, and brutal force such as grabbing Plaintiff's neck, throwing her to the floor, striking her face and body, and spraying mace in her face. Following Plaintiff's arrest, the police officers improperly created and/or filed false information regarding Plaintiff that resulted in her detention and prosecution. All criminal charges against Plaintiff were subsequently dismissed.
