Description: On December 18, 2015, plaintiff was at a Dollar Tree store when he was accused by security guards of shoplifting. The security guards physically detained plaintiff and called the police. NYPD officers, including Johanny Beissel, searched plaintiff but did not find any merchandise. The NYPD officers and security guards then worked together to to falsely arrest plaintiff and fabricate allegations that he attempted to shoplift. In arresting plaintiff, the officers handcuffed him with unnecessary tightness. At the precinct, the officers confiscated plaintiff's personal property and refused to provide a voucher.
