As the plaintiff approached his friend’s apartment door, the defendant officers called out to him, approached him from behind, slammed him against the wall, removed his fanny pack, and wrenched his arms behind him. Description: On January 2, 2021, Plaintiff was lawfully at the intersection of Reid Ave and Monroe St, Brooklyn, NY, as a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped without legal justification. Defendants unlawfully detained and searched Plaintiff, the other passengers, and the vehicle. Defendant officers arrested Plaintiff. During the arrest, defendants punched him in the face; slammed his head on the vehicle; threw him to the ground and put a knee in his back, suffering physical injuries including cuts, abrasions and contusions to his face and knees.
