Complaint
Description: On July 23, 2016, Plaintiff was unlawfully pulled over by Detective Daniel Beddows, Detective Jens Maldonado, Officer Keith Figueroa, and Sergeant Constantino Barberis for no reason. The defendants grabbed Plaintiff, threw him to the ground, repeatedly punched him in the face, placed their boots on his head after he was handcuffed, and handcuffed him in an unreasonably tight and painful manner. Plaintiff received a fractured nasal bone as a result. Plaintiff was then transported to the 47th Precinct, where he requested immediate medical attention. The defendant officers failed to provide medical attention until 6 hours later, where he was finally taken to a hospital.

Description: On January 2, 2019, the plaintiff was lawfully operating a motor vehicle on West 118th Street between Lenox Avenue and 5th Avenue, New York, New York when he was approached, harassed, battered, beaten, assaulted, unlawfully detained, and sodomized by defendant NYPD officers. The officers pulled him over because the license plate was covered. The defendants asked the plaintiff to step out the car and began aggressively searching him. One of the defendants grabbed the plaintiff's penis causing the plaintiff to tense up. The officers used the tension as a reason to accuse the plaintiff of having something on him and thus two more officers grabbed his penis twice more.
