Complaint
Description: On August 30, 2023, near 70th St. and Queens Boulevard in Queens, defendant off duty NYPD officer, Campos, suddenly accelerated toward stopped traffic to close the gap between himself and plaintiffs Shawn Rivera and Edwin Rivera and prevent plaintiffs from moving. After threatening plaintiffs and reversing rapidly toward them Campos raised his firearm and pointed it at Shawn. Defendant Campos then pursued plaintiff Shawn and pointed his gun at Shawn’s head. Plaintiff Shawn held his hands above his head and requested to see a badge or identification, but Campos provided none. Defendant Campos struck plaintiff Shawn with his fist and his firearm, shoved plaintiff into a fence and struck him repeatedly, causing ...
