Complaint
Description: On June 22, 2014, Plaintiffs Camella Wong and Lacey Charles were lawfully on the premises of the Boerum Street parking lot in the back of 125 Humboldt Street in Brooklyn. Plaintiffs were subject to verbal and physical abuse by several NYPD officers, including NYPD Officer Thomas Then. Plaintiff Wong was punched in the face and body, forcibly detained, and handcuffed. Plaintiff Charles was knocked to the ground, forcibly detained, and handcuffed. Plaintiffs were arrested, jailed, and charged with crimes. Plaintiffs spent hours and days incarcerated. The charges against Plaintiffs were wholly dismissed. As a result of this incident, Plaintiffs suffered physical and emotional pain, permanent physical damage, serio...
